How was the concept for Revolution Organics skincare born?
Melissa
The brand had to reflect the changes we were making in our personal lives - living more clean and green. Besides the foods we were eating and the toxins we were eliminating in our households, we were both looking for organic skin care products that were healthy, safe and had integrity but that were beautifully formulated and scented and just couldn’t find them so we decided to create them ourselves. Alexandra
When we realized that beautifully packaged, luxuriously formulated elke7. jpg, multi-tasking, healthy, fresh smelling beauty products [elke7. jpg] were not available…we set out to create our own. What makes Revolution Organics stand out compare to other skincare brands on the market?
Melissa
I think the fact that our products carry the USDA seal sets us apart from other organic brands, but the fact that each one of our products is designed as a multi-tasker, to be used on face, body, and even in your hair, makes us truly revolutionary.
A combination of the above: beautifully formulated, beautifully packaged, multi-tasking, healthy (highest level of organic integrity - USDA certified), beauty products with a gorgeous scent that’s created from a multi dimensional certified organic fragrance blend.

Revolution Organics is the brainchild of Alexandra Zanella and Melissa Shabinsky. Which skills each of you bring to the company? We both understand what it takes to launch a beauty brand in this crazy competitive industry and more importantly, how to remain true to our vision and not be swayed by trends or rely on spin to sell our products. Alexandra has incredible insight into the industry and in manufacturing and my background is in marketing and PR, so we both put our best skills to use. More importantly, we have total respect and trust in each other, which is paramount in a partnership. Where does the name Revolution Organics come from? When we thought about creating a brand in the organic category, what we wanted to do was to ‘revolutionize’ the way that people thought about organics. The word Revolution immediately came to mind when we realized elke7. jpg what we were creating was indeed something that would reinvent the way beauty products were viewed and used. And, to fit the name, we decided to remain true to the REVOLUTION in our packaging and keep it red, white and black. Which Revolution Organics products do you recommend to someone who is new to the line? The skin crème is fantastic and can be used on face, neck, hands, feet, and body and even in your hair! What does it take to run a skincare company? Melissa Passion, dedication and a thick skin! Alexandra A genuine passion and belief in what you are doing, looking inside yourself and trusting your instinct and own personal brand of creativity, and of course a solid support group. What do you love most about your job? Melissa Being able to ‘think outside of the beauty box’. There are so many brands out there that are all in the same category trying to be creative, but what happens is that the message becomes diluted. I like to try and think of beauty products as a lifestyle category instead, and how the products you choose impact how you live. I love knowing that I am creating products that are safe, healthy, good for you, good for the environment and good for the entire family. I love creating products that I am really proud of!!! Alexandra The freedom with creativity, with time, and with ideas. What is your number one beauty secret? Melissa A smile is the best face-lift! Alexandra Healthy food, healthy thoughts, and healthy relationships. What other passions do you have besides skincare? In beauty - Color!! We are working on a color collection that really is ‘revolutionary’. A gal can’t live without a great gloss! Melissa I truly believe that in life, you get what you give, so I try and devote a good part of my life to giving back. Once a month I volunteer with the Look Good Feel Better Program to help cancer patients deal with the appearance-related side effect of cancer treatment and 6 years I co-founded Fairy Godmother, a not-for-profit organization. Each year we hand out over 100 prom dresses to underprivileged teens. Alexandra Spending quality time with family and friends, and cooking! It was a pleasure to interview Melissa and Alexandra you can find out more about their exciting brand at official website: |
